Quick-Start Protocol
Follow these six steps every session — skipping any one is where most problems begin
Wipe every substrate with 99% isopropyl alcohol before printing. Oils and dust cause adhesion failure — non-negotiable.
Use digital calipers to set the correct print head height. Wrong height means blurry prints or a dangerous head strike.
Glove up immediately after the IPA wipe. One fingerprint on a clean substrate will show up clearly in the finished print.
Inspect the print with a UV flashlight after curing. Tacky areas mean the ink isn't fully set — they need more cure time.
Seal finished prints with a UV-resistant clear coat, especially for anything handled frequently or used outdoors.
Clean the print head with IPA and a lint-free cloth after every session. This habit will save you from expensive clogs.
